Ai Weiwei pays tribute to refugees with a powerful installation

2017-03-20 // art

For his latest exhibition entitled Law of the Journey, the famous Chinese artist Ai Weiwei pays tribute to the refugees with a powerful installation, denouncing the terrible conditions they are facing, but criticizing especially the political decisions and the shameful behavior of many countries. This work depicting dozens of refugees on a giant inflatable boat supports Ai Weiwei‘s desire to remind us that there is no refugee crisis, but more a crisis of the human being, endangering the values of tolerance and compassion.

An exhibition visible at the galerie Narodni in Prague until January 7, 2018.
