Street art – Painting 314 endangered bird species on the facades of Manhattan

2015-12-23 // art street art

The Audubon Mural Project is a huge street art project whose goal is to paint 314 endangered bird species on the facades of Manhattan. This massive project began in New York in October 2014 thanks to a collaboration between the National Audubon Society and the Gitler &_____ gallery. This project wants to raise awareness about the issues of global warming, but also pays tribute to John James Audubon, an American ornithologist, naturalist and painter from France, seen as the first ornithologist of the New World.
