Microbe Art – Some scientists organized a painting competition with bacteria

This year was held the first Agar Art, a painting competition using bacteria! Microbiologists around the world have imagined living miniature artworks with bacteria, nutrient agar jelly and petri dishes. Organized by the American Society for Microbiologists, this amazing competition has resulted in colorful creations made of salmonella, enterococcus faecalis, streptococcus, escherichia coli and many more… By the way, I advise you to take a look at the bacteria on the hand of an 8-year-old kid just after playing outside.
