Feathers – An artist transforms bird feathers into fragile and delicate works of art

2015-12-16 // art

The American artist Chris Maynard transforms bird feathers into fragile and delicate works of art, cutting out shapes with a scalpel with an impressive precision. To achieve this series of light and poetic creations, the artist Chris Maynard collects colorful feathers, fell naturally of course, belonging to many different bird species. These acquisitions are done legally from zoos or private aviaries. His creations have just been published in his new book entitled Feathers, Form and Function.
