Hollow – An installation composed of over 10,000 different species of wood

2016-05-12 // art design

Simply entitled Hollow, this amazing cave-like installation consists of more than 10,000 pieces of wood, each from a different essence! Designed by artist Katie Paterson in collaboration with the architecture studio Zeller & Moye, this artwork required more than three years of work, only to reunite the thousands of different wood species from around the world. An impressive creation installed in the city of Bristol, which allows visitors to feel the evolution of our planet and plant species. (photos © Max McClure)
