With Matière Noire, the Spanish artist Borondo offers to Marseille a dark and powerful exhibition by investing the massive Marché aux Puces! More than a conventional exhibition, Matière Noire is an immersive experience where the visitor is invited to dive into this unusual place for a journey centered on the relationship with reality and the history of representation. Matière Noire takes full advantage of this space full of history, mixing artworks, installations and the multiple objects of the antique dealers in a dark and bewitching scenography. The result is simply striking, and you will love to get lost in this maze of nostalgia. If you go to Marseille, Matière Noire by Gonzalo Borondo is an exhibition not to be missed!
Co-produced by Gonzalo Borondo and Edoardo Tresoldi, and conceived in collaboration with the Spanish and Italian artists BRBR FILMS, Carmen Main, Diego López Bueno, Edoardo Tresoldi, Isaac Cordal, Robberto Atzori, Sbagliato and A.L. Crego, Matière Noire uses 20 stores and the entire upper floor as exhibition spaces.
