Microscape – The urban landscapes of major cities printed in 3D

2016-02-01 // design

The Microscape project proposes to transform the urban landscapes of major US cities into pretty 3D printed miniatures. Created by designers William Ngo and Alan Silverman, the Microscape project uses data from aerial scans and photogrammetry to create models of major cities of the world, which will then be printed in 3D. Initially, the Microscape collection focuses on New York, with a series of 200 miniatures covering the whole island of Manhattan. The Microscape project is currently being funded on Kickstarter. I also recommend you the jewelry You are Here by Talia Sari or the Skyline Declaration by Ola Shekhtman.
