Amezaiku – The ancient Japanese art of realistic animal lollipops

Amezaiku designates the ancient Japanese art of making realistic animal lollipops. Some delicate creations whose origin dates back over 1200 years, and that continues to exist thanks to the efforts of young masters such as Japanese Shinri Tezuka, owner of the Ameshin confectionery. A tradition imported from China during the Heian period, and then popularized in the Edo period.
