Gadget of the day – Retractable Airbag Helmet
The “Hövding” is a retractable airbag helmet designed for those for whom style is paramount, but who think about their safety on bike. Completely invisible, or at least easily concealable through interchangeable covers, the “Hövding” is wearable around the neck, and inflates in case of an accident like a car airbag. The “Hövding” bike airbag is an idea of Swedish designers Anna Haupt and Terese Alstin, and is already marketed in Europe ($ 450).
