Between Kawaii & Gunpla – Japanese Scale Models, mixture of genres and other japanese gadgets
In Akihabara (Tokyo), a paradise for fans of anime, manga, figurines, Japanese gadgets and video games, it’s not hard to find hundreds of scale models of Gundam, Gunpla the (Gundam and plastic contraction). Just at Yodobashi Camera, there are a dozen shelves full of model Gundam. But today I came across a new kind of scale model for me :
In Japan, there are fans of tuning, fans of scale models and otaku. The mix of tuning and Otaku gives us ITASHA (discover it here). Well I just discovered that there were also fans of scale model Itasha!
Luxury cars or sports, bus, jet fighters and stealth aircraft and even an aircraft carrier ! All covered with sexy girls from manga or anime… Do you prefer the Idol Master jet fighter or the K-On aircraft carrier ? ;)
