Review – Kisai Keisan and Kisai Denshoku by Tokyoflash

We already wrote a lot on UFUNK about Tokyoflash, the brand of Japanese watches, one of our favorite brand of watches thanks to its innovative concepts and incredible designs. Not to mention the fact that this brand has invented a new way to tell the time on almost every new model. Today we have in hand two models, the Kisai Keisan and the Kisai Denshoku. Here is a little review of thoose two Japanese gadgets !

The Kisai Keisan

This model with its sleek design and aluminum body with a satin finish is very nice to look like to wear. As always, how to tell time is inventive: after pressing the side button, the LEDs light up and display the time in the form of additions. After a few seconds, the date appears on the same principle. Note that you can skip the animation by pressing the button again.

In addition, the LEDs light up with animation, every minute for twelve minutes after the hour, just for fun, which will earn you some nice questions about the item you wear on your wrist… Far from being the most complex of watches, the Kisai Keisan is simple to learn and you can read the time quickly, without adjustment as may be the case with more complex models.

The Kisai Denshoku

This watch is a good example of the spirit Tokyoflash: both clean and simple, but innovative and original. Its aluminum case design inspired by the neon skyscrapers of Shinjuku has only one display as horizontal “bars”. After pressing the side button, the “bars” lights up one after another to display the time, then the tens of minutes, then minutes. As the Keisan, you can accelerate the animation by pressing the button a second time. Denshoku means illumination in Japanese. When the animation mode is enabled, the vertical bars are illuminated every minute for twelve minutes. This watch also has an economy mode that reduces the luminous intensity of LEDs and thus increases battery life.

Briefly, Kisai Keisan and Kisai Denshoku are two very interesting watches, light to carry with original designs. You’ll understand that we are quite a fan of these two models!
