Rhei – An awesome clock based on ferrofluid

2015-09-30 // design gadget

Here is Rhei, a beautiful clock based on ferrofluid, built on the same concept as the Ferrolic, the clock we mentioned last month. This awesome clock with a liquid display uses this time an electromechanical system to move a solution loaded with ferromagnetic nanoparticles, drawing the numbers on the display. Finally, the complex system of the Rhei clock is inserted in a beautiful wooden case with a sober and delicate design. More than an object, this true kinetic sculpture was created by designer Damjan Stankovic, in collaboration with Marko Pavlovic. This clock is currently only a prototype, and no release or production date has been announced.
