Drowning World – These incredible photos document the climate changes

2016-04-13 // art photography

Drowning World is an incredible series of photographs by Gideon Mendel, a South African photographer who mixes art and documentary to raise awareness to the direct consequences of climate change. Gideon Mendel has just won the Pollock Prize for Creativity for this project, for which he spent nearly 10 years traveling the world, making portraits of the inhabitants in areas devastated by floods, as Haiti, Pakistan, Australia, Thailand or Germany. Some very powerful pictures! The complete series is in his portfolio.
