Skateboarding in the 70s documented by photographer Hugh Holland

In the 70s, the American photographer Hugh Holland has spent over three years documenting skateboarding throughout California, capturing beautiful images in the streets of Los Angeles, Venice Beach or San Francisco, while this phenomenon really took off. Entitled Locals Only, this series offers a fascinating look at the birth of the skateboarding culture in California, true birthplace of this phenomenon that will become global. The photographs of Hugh Holland were published in the book Locals Only.
