Inventario – Documenting the colorful interiors of Latin America in the 1980s

2016-04-04 // photography

With its Inventario series, the Canadian photographer Rafael Goldchain documented the colorful interiors of Latin America in the 1980s and 1990s, capturing improbable compositions that reflect a melting pot of cultures and the rapid changes in society at that time. Born in 1953 in Santiago, Chile, before emigrating to Jerusalem and then to Toronto, the photographer Rafael Goldchain reveals some amazing interiors in which traditional statues collide with posters of pin-ups, colorful murals, old photographs or American movie posters.
