Street photography – The amusing vintage photographs of René Maltête

Precursor of street photography, the French photographer René Maltête (1930 – 2000) captured the unusual scenes of everyday life, randomly sighted during his wanderings, but also deliberately offbeat staged situations. His son Robin Maltête proposes to discover a selection of photographs from his father on his portfolio. The images of René Maltête were also published in the book Des yeux plein les poches.
