SkinDeep – Vacuum body and Photography

“SkinDeep“, a series of photographs by Thierry Peureux and Julien Manigand. This series is currently on display at the agency Ledouze (Paris) from July 5 to September 30, 2012.

“The Skin-Deep series reveals body-object, male or female, whose identity is melts under the latex. Without jewel, without clothing, or artifice, soft and enveloping material print the surface of the naked bodies, as the air is removed from its case. Body appear in a certain simplicity that the monochrome color latex exacerbates. Between troubling petrifactions of Pompeii, dehumanized Christic figures, uninhibited Madonnas and fetish practices, Julien Manigand et Thierry Peureux take care to stay in this in-between, screaming mouths and clutching hands navigate between sensitive and superficial”
