Suburban Symbiosis – These miniature monsters that populate our daily life

2016-03-25 // art photography

Yes, these terrifying monsters populate your everyday life! For his Suburban Symbiosis: Insectum domesticus project, the American photographer Daniel Kariko has created some impressive macro portraits of the most common insects that are found in our homes or our gardens. These astonishing portraits are composites of many pictures taken with a scanning electron microscope and a stereoscopic microscope. Inspired by the tradition of the Dutch masters of the 17th century, Daniel Kariko reveals the true face of bees, ants, moths and other beetles.
