Talking Heads – Vintage ventriloquist puppets photographed by Matthew Rolston

2015-09-08 // art unusual photography

For his Talking Heads series, the famous and talented American photographer Matthew Rolston has photographed portraits of old ventriloquist puppets, now unused and abandoned, exhibited at the Vent Haven Museum in Kentucky. With his photographs, Matthew Rolston revives these inert objects, once at the center of performances and shows, but also revives popular beliefs, fears and phobias that often accompany these creatures made of wood. These portraits have been published in the book Talking Heads: The Vent Haven Portraits.
