After the Disney Princesses Pin-Ups by J. Scott Campbell, here are the characters and princesses from Disney imagined as modern students by Spanish illustrator Hyung86 for his “Disney University” series. From Peter Pan to Ariel the Little Mermaid through Pocahontas and Alice in Wonderland, a meeting between the characters of the cult cartoons and today’s fashions. Cartoon Kevin – An Illustrator’s tribute to 100 cartoons

With “Cartoon Kevin“, illustrator Kevin McShane made a series of 100 self-portraits in tribute to 100 famous cartoons and their authors. Disney Rotoscoping – When Disney shot live action scenes to help his animators

To create their great cult movies before the computer age, the Disney studios had used the technique of rotoscoping, also known as live-action reference, which was to film scenes with real actors and sets. These images were then used as references for the Disney animators to help them visualize the scenes, postures and movements to draw. Here is a series of unusual images and videos from this technique, overlaying the images shot with drawings created by animators!

Disney Princesses seen by famous fashion creators

The London store Harods has offered to 10 famous fashion designers to imagine modern versions of Disney Princesses. Valentino, Versace, Escada, Missoni, Elie Saab and others have therefore redesigned the princesses creating dresses inspired by the world of each movie. Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Cinderella, Mulan, Pocahontas, Snow White and other princesses were then photographed by photographer Jason Ell.

Tamashii Nation (Bandai Group), the famous Japanese toy manufacturer, has partnered with Disney to create the “Disney Super Robot“, a toy born of an unlikely mashup between the world of Mickey and his friends, and world of Power Rangers (owned by Disney) and Japanese Sentaï… Multiple robots looking like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto, which can then be assembled to create a “Disney Super Robot“, a giant robot capable of spreading love and destruction in its path… Uh … WTF?! (no release date announced)
