Airlander 10 – The renewal of the airship?

2016-08-19 // tech

The Airlander 10 just completed its first flight successfully, paving the way for the renewal of the airship. This gigantic machine halfway between a plane and a conventional airship is 92 meters long, making it the largest flying vehicle to date. Lot cleaner than airplanes or helicopters and developed for the US Army, the Airlander 10 may also be exploited for commercial flights. Designed by the British company Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV), the Airlander 10 is capable of flying at an altitude of 4880 meters for a speed of 150 km/h.
