Coffee Drip Printer – Printing portraits with some drops of coffee

2016-02-29 // design unusual tech

The Coffee Drip Printer is an amazing printer, capable of printing portraits with some drops of coffee! This amusing experiment designed by Ted Kinsman uses an Arduino to control the movements of the printer, but especially the size of the drops of coffee. This caffeinated printer is capable of printing images with a 80 x 100 pixels resolution, with 53 different shades of coffee, corresponding to the different sizes of drop. Each portrait takes about an hour to be printed, and a full day to dry. An excellent concept using the most popular beverage in the world!
