Materiable – A surprising tactile display

2016-05-12 // design tech

After their inFORM project, we were talking about two years ago, the Tangible Media Group at MIT Media Lab presents today the Materiable Tactile Display, a stunning tactile display capable of reproducing the behavior of different surfaces, elastic, solid or even liquid, and to respond to user interactions. This display can modulate its physical condition to simulate flexibility, elasticity and viscosity, creating some impressive effects! A concept that opens the path to new types of interactions and tangible interfaces.
