Dial project – An interactive installation inspired by deafness

The Dial Project is an open-source interactive installation that reacts in real time to the user’s hands, thus allowing the writing of a certain sound and light sentence. The goal is to create a link between the deaf community and the rest of the population, as part of a process of awareness raising, the aim of which is not to introduce people to sign language but instead to let them feel the stakes and the articulation of it.

This project is entirely inspired by deafness and sign language, as much in its principle and concept as in its identity and use.
