Excellente campagne de publicité de la part du Zurich Chamber Orchestra, qui nous explique en trois images pourquoi la musique classique est mieux que la dance. Malheureusement, ils auraient dû prendre des groupes plus modernes que Ace of Base ou David Hasselhoff, mais le concept est génial ! ;)

    Quite a bad comparison imho. Slagging artists wouldn’t make anyone love classical music more. Is that all you could think of?

    You really are of the track, in judging contemporary Pop / Dance music on the basis of your comparisons with Classical instruments. But it’s totally right to consider chord sequences in Pop and nearly non-existing in Dance / Rap are as basic as a chord can be.

    Pop singers have typically a limited vocal range in which their vocals work best (producers key changes to fit). This may dictate for most Pop/Dance singers/bands… even though some vocalists are amazing as to a wide range.

    By the way, my mom did an arrangement of the Ace Of Base song “All That She Wants” for a Classical-style guitar duet. That was very popular at a Zürich music school. You’re a chamber orchestra… you may consider re-arranging some suitable Pop song and startle the audience performing it.
